Foo Fighters - Walk

A million miles away
Your signal in the distance
To whom it may concern
I think I lost my way
Getting good at starting over
Every time that I return

I'm learning to walk again
I believe I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?
I'm learning to talk again
Can't you see I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?

Do you remember the day
We built these people mountains
And sat and watched them burn
I think I found my place
Can't you feel it growing stronger
Little conquerors

I'm learning to walk again
I believe I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?
I'm learning to talk again
I believe I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?

Now
For the very first time
Don't you pay no lie
Set me free again
You keep alive a moment at a time
But still inside a whisper to a liar
To sacrifice but knowing to survive
The first to find another state of mind
I'm on my knees, I'm waiting for a sign
Forever, whenever
I never wanna die
I never wanna die
I'm on my knees
I Never wanna die
Dancing on my grave
Running through the fight
Forever, whenever
Never wanna die
Never wanna leave
Never say goodbye

I'm learning to walk again
I believe I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?
I'm learning to talk again
Can't you see I've waited long enough
Where do I begin?

I'm learning to walk again
I believe I've waited long enough
I'm learning to talk again
Can't you see I've waited long enough

Biffy Clyro - Semi-Mental

I smoke my face in, night after night
To numb the pain and stop the world spinning round and round
But how was I to know that in my mind I'm not so pure
Look into my eyes you can see I'm many different people

You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental
You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental

I'm not a drinker, I try it every night
I force it down to throw it up and start all over again
But I will climb a tower to stick my flag on top
And look down on everyone, help me to salute the people

You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental
You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental

You have tried to resist the pain, but you know you're not alone
I have tried to resist the pain, but now I'm all alone

You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental
You shone a light on my life, now I'm just sentimental

Penny Blacks

Penny Blacks is the musical pseudonym of singer-songwriter Jason Ogden. As the front man for the post-punk quartet Hospital Grade, Ogden has displayed a rare gift for melody and arrangement that has made his outfit a stand out on the local music scene.

With Penny Blacks, Ogden reveals another side of his songwriting that has been met with equal enthusiasm by audiences and music fans. Armed with only an acoustic guitar, Ogden has captivated crowds with his endearing songs and rare breed of folk and progressive pop. Ogden’s experience and talent are equaled only by his ability to relay his emotions through his songs. Each song Penny Blacks sings feels as though he is letting you in on his diary, as though he has brought a confession for you to share. It is not hard to be drawn in by Jason's sincerity and Penny Blacks is the perfect opportunity to experience it. Recent years saw the addition of a full band to Ogden’s already captivating intimate live performances. Containing members of The Carousels, Something French, Edge on Spiral, The Improvements, and Hospital Grade, the seven piece band has taken on a life and sound of its own.

Penny Blacks have built on the traditional rock foundation of two guitars, bass and drums by adding violin, cello, accordion and programmed and organic soundscapes to an effect that elevates the intimacy of the songs’ subject matter to a new level of intensity.

The sweet acoustic songs combined with Odgen’s brilliant and sincere lyrics are what make Penny Blacks so special. That’s why you should give them a listen, I’m sure you won’t regret it. If you have the chance to see them live, don’t miss it. I would love to see one of their gigs!

Penny Blacks released their second EP, ‘Gold Standards’ on April 26.

Grouplove - Colours

I am a man, man, man, man
Up, up in the air
And I run around, round, round, round this down town and act like I don't care.
So when you see me flying by the planet's moon,
You don't need to explain if everything's changed
Just know I'm just like you.

Huh.
Ha, (x4)

So I pull the switch, the switch, the switch inside my head.
And I see black, black, green, and brown, brown, brown and blue, yellow, violets, red.
And suddenly a light appears inside my brain
And I think of my ways, I think of my days and know that I have changed.

If the color's (bad?)
No need to be sad.
It really ain't that bad.

If the color's (bad?)
No need to be sad.
You've still got your (hand?)

So Mistress, Mistress have you been up to the roof?
He shot himself, self
There's blood on the wall
'Cause he couldn't face the truth.

Oh, knock that down, leave the ground and find some space
And tell your friends, friends,
You'll be back again, gain
Before it's too late.

If the color's (bad?)
No need to be sad.
It really ain't that bad.

Oooooooooh, If the color's (bad?)
No need to be sad.
It really ain't that bad

If the color's (bad?)
No need to be sad.
You've still got your (hands?)

So I am a man, man, man, man
Up, up in the air
And I float around, 'round, 'round this downtown
And know I shouldn't care.
So when you see us there out in the open road
You don't need to explain
If everything's changed
Just know that you don't know.

We call it... (Life?)
Oh yeah, that's what we call it.
We can't call it at all.
We call it... (Life?)
Oh yeah, that's what we call it.
When you can't call it at all.
Yeah, We call it (Life?)
Oh yeah that's what we call it.
(OOOOOOOOOOhhhhh)
We do it for... (sweet love?)

Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man

Weep for yourself, my man
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep little lion man
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rape yourself
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?

Tremble for yourself, my man
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble little lion man
You'll never settle any of your score
Your grace is wasted in your face
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Learn from your mother
Or else spend your days biting your own neck

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
