[Review] Alex Turner - "Submarine" Soundtrack (English)

Since it was announced that the soundtrack of the film "Submarine" would be carried out by Alex Turner, lead singer of Arctic Monkeys, it has generated a great expectation.
Now that the songs that make up this soundtrack are already available, we realize that, in fact, there were grounds for the expectations are high. This soundtrack is composed by five brilliant songs.

The album begins with "Stuck In The Puzzle (intro)," a different and shorter version of the song with the same name and which is also part of this album. Then follows "Hiding Tonight" which, like "It's Hard To Get Around The Wind," counts with the participation of Bill Ryder Jones, former The Coral guitarist.

All the songs are great, but I have to highlight the last two, "Stuck On The Puzzle" and "Piledriver Waltz" as being the best songs on this disc.

This album demonstrates once again the poetic vein of Alex Turner, with great lyrics.

"Submarine" was produced by James Ford, who also participated in the album. The string arrangements were made by Owen Pallet.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the truth is that listening to these songs, made immediately reminded of the soundtrack of the movie "Into The Wild", which also consisted of the same kind of music and both soundtracks have an equal level of brilliance.

9/10
